Crazy Crafter's Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue September Blog Hop

Thank you for joining The Crazy Crafters team for our monthly blog hop.  The theme for the September Blog Hop is the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue.  The Holiday Catalogue is full of wonderful products to create your Halloween, Thanks Giving & Christmas Projects.  I have purchased numerous products from the Holiday Catalogue, so was spoilt for choice on what to use in this Blog Hop.

We hope you enjoy our virtual hop where you will learn great techniques for your paper crafting projects.

You should have just left stop number 8 on the Crazy Crafters Hop - Angela Lorenz at Ang's Crafty Cards.  If so, you are in the right spot. If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

For my Project, I decided to go with a Halloween theme and create some 3D items using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die & the Gift Box Punch Board.  The stamped images are from the Freaky Friends stamp set and the DSP is called Motley Monsters.  I have to tell you, I had so much fun making the little boxes.  At the bottom of this post you will find the Stampin' Up! You Tube videos on how to use and construct the Curvy Keepsake Box and the different sizes boxes you can create using the Gift Box Punch Board.  You will easily master your first one and you won't know where to stop. As you can see below, I just had to make one in each of the Motley Monsters DSP coordinating colors.

Curvy Keepsake Box textured embossed with Tiny Triangles & 2.5" Gift Box in Basic Black & Bermuda Bay

Curvy Keepsake Box textured embossed with Large Polka Dot & 2.5" Gift Box in Bermuda Bay

Curvy Keepsake Box textured embossed with Lucky Stars from the Holiday Catalogue & 2.5" Gift Box in Crushed Curry

Curvy Keepsake Box textured embossed with Argyle & 2.5" Gift Box in Sahara Sand

Curvy Keepsake Box textured embossed with Zig Zag & 2.5" Gift Box in Tangerine Tango

To add texture to the Curvy Keepsake Box, I ran the 2 pieces through the Big Shot using different Textured Embossing Folders.  Of course, you could keep the Box plain, texture emboss 1 of the pieces, use DSP or a combination of Card Stock and DSP.

The thing that most impresses me with both the Curvy Keepsake Box & the Gift Box Punch Board is that you can use it all year round for many occasions just by changing the Card Stock colours and DSP.  With Christmas coming up, either would make gorgeous Christmas table treats, end of year break up boxes for gifts to fellow students or teachers or wedding bonbonniere for sugared almonds or chocolate (yum yum).
